I woke up early to go to Monticello. It is one of the most beautiful places on Earth.
The guy I thought was going to be our tour guide was hawt. The one who was our tour guide was not, but he was a wealth of information and I learned so much.
Decided I will be a NYT’s best selling author several times over so I can recreate the Jefferson house because I love it that much.
Took a picture of Jefferson’s toilet.
Wondered how much Jefferson would have loved the Kindle. He could have taken all those books with him.
Saw an inkwell of his likeness in a glass case in his bedroom/office and wanted it really, really bad.
Bought a reproduction of the clock that hangs over his front door. Mine is quite a bit smaller.
Drove from Charlottesville to Philadelphia. (Nice drive and saw so much cool stuff along the way.)
I was totally surprised by how beautiful Philly is. I expected something, maybe a little rougher. It’s beautiful.
Lucky Sweets popped for a nice hotel downtown with amazing views and I’m charmed by the people here.
Met a cop who thought, because our rent car is from Florida, that we were too. He was glad to find out we were from Texas as the Marlins had just hit a home run against his team. :)
Ordered in from Lazarous (SP). I ordered a 6 inch calzone, it was 22 inches when it arrived. LOL.
Did homework. Sigh. It never seems to stop when you are in grad school.
Am looking forward to tomorrow’s trip through New York and into Conn. Hoping we make it to Mystic before the sun goes down. It’s one of the places I’m really looking forward to seeing. :)
