I’m Back — Again

Q: Candy, Why did you stop blogging in the middle of press tour?

A: Some jerk hurt my feelings.

Q: What?

A: I had someone email me and say, “If you’re just going to rehash your day, why bother?”

Q: And you let that bother you, why?

A: Well, I was exhausted. School started in the middle of press tour, and I was feeling overwhelmed. And I felt like if no one appreciated it, why bother?

Q: What about those emails where people were asking what happened. The hundred or so that said they really enjoyed the updates and hoped you did more?

A: Um. Well. Did I mention I was exhausted while I was in L.A.? Oh, and that I have a temper. One mean person can ruin the fun for everyone else. Besides, I was on Twitter and Facebook and updating like a mad woman.

Q: Well, what are you going to do to make it up to the rest of us who do care?

A: I’m going to post some photos below of my set visits. I’m starting out with GLEE and CHUCK. You’ll see photos of Sue Sylvester’s office and of the Buy More. I really liked those computer bags with 40s pinups. If you know where I can find those, I would like to buy one.

And my plan is to stop by here at least once a week. :) Did I mention I have new book out? TAKE ME IF YOU DARE. It’s some sexy fun, I tell you. Especially if you like spies. And seriously, who doesn’t like a hot spy. :)

  1. Lemme at ’em. Lemme at ’em, I say. I’ll sic my cat on ’em. Hell, I’ll sic ALL my cats on ’em. That’ll teach ’em! Lemme at ’em!

Okay, I think I’m under control now. Be mean to my Candy, will ya! Grrr…..

Mean people suck. And I say that from recent experience of my own. Phooey.

So here’s what I think: everyone who feels bad that someone was mean to Candy should buy an EXTRA copy of her new book (seriously, they’re only $4.99!) and give it to the next person who says something nice to them.

I already had an extra copy, and that’s what I’m going to do with mine!

  2. I enjoyed your comment stream. People can be so nasty and judgemental about what others should or should not tweet or blog about. For example, I am getting tired of those “Things you should never Tweet about” lists and the outlawed items pretty much encompass MY LIFE *laugh*

  3. I too have the mean comment hurts me forever syndrome. esp when tired.

But different media are well different. And the real question was then fellow, if you do not want to read my rehash they you, you my friend do not bother. 100 other folks do want to.

I am trying to have thicker skin. At some point I will post my teaching reviews and that is why. over 1000 students and I am too slow and too fast. I figure if the comments equal out I am about right.
