Quick Note

Hey Gang,
I’m headed to Denver tomorrow. Want to come back to see what you guys are doing this weekend… So leave me a note. :-)

Also, thought you all would like to know that TRUE BLOOD has been picked up for a second season. That means it’s rockin’ in the ratings. :-) Woot!

I gave in and got my hair colored today. Love it! Feel like a brand new girl!

  1. I was in Denver in August! Gelazzi, you HAVE to go there. OK, you probably should not given the blood sugar. Make your pals go there. Homemade gelato + martinis. and free wireless. Nightclub look that they went for. Larimer Square maybe is the right spelling for the location? Cute block to walk around. anothe place for meals right by there (there are many) is Rioja; we also went there and it is bit over done on the food (lots of great ingredients, but they could cut the number in half) but good. Snooze (AM eatery; think eggs and interesting pancakes mote like dessert) is up near the ball field and very crowded on weekends but excellent and plenty empty during the week. Again, watch your blood sugar. Cuba Cuba also was very good. The artwork and architecture all around was quite interesting IMO. Also drove south a couple of hours to Garden of the Gods in CO Springs.

hope this is for pleasure. Have a wonderful time!

  2. Oh, and Stephen and I had an exciting morning. I got back from the CDC late Friday night. Went to the farmers market for milk, fruit, etc. Driving home we were front and center to a dumptruck losing control on a two lane country highway, taking out a power line, and flipping on its side sliding toward us (we were oncoming traffic, and first in line). Guy walked away essentially unharmed. much commotion. My cell calls 911 in Seattle, not Md so that was not good. But many people were there (busy road) and lots to call for help. Then we lead a pack who had to turn around back to Olney along a different route. Makes you glad you left right when you did and drove just like you did so you were not next to the truck when it all went nuts. The guy was stunned, but remarkably looked just fine. No other cars or people were hurt that we could tell.

Otherwise, trying to figure out what to do for Stephen’s birthday, walked to town for the car show, some froyo, and dinner. Now Stephen is cleaning out the kegerator and we are watching football. Sunday we go watch his friend at the motorcycle races in WV.
