First up… I’m a guest this week on DearReader.com if you would please go over there and ask me questions I’d be most grateful. And yes, we’re giving away free books. :-)
On to Wednesday TV
I’m a fan of Bones (Fox), which debuted last Wednesday and I kind of wish they could hang out in England a little longer it’s fun.
I am not a fan of Top Model (The CW). I cannot get into this show, though I tried. They sent the first show of the season and I watched right up until the moment when Tyra Banks came out all futuristic from some cheap metal tube. No Top Model for me. Stylista (Oct. 22) is paired with this one. I couldn’t remember why I didn’t like this show, I hadn’t even really seen it. They showed us some clips and then I realized it was the people. Anne Slowey and Joe Zee were not very nice. Maybe they were meanin’ up for the show, but I found it icky. If I want to listen to mean people I’ll take my earphones off at home. ;-)
(Sept. 10) Do Not Disturb is a new Fox comedy starring a lot of people I like including Jerry O’Connell, Niecy Nash, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Molly Stanton. I have to say I wasn’t very impressed with the pilot, which makes me sad because I like the people. I’ll give it one more chance, but I don’t have high hopes.
(Sept. 24) Lipstick Jungle (NBC). Okay, I was a Cashmere Mafia fan last year, which was canceled. Sigh. But I watched the last three episodes from last year of Lipstick Jungle, and the first episode of this year and I think I’m going to give this one another chance. I can’t say the same about Knight Rider (NBC). But I have a feeling it will appeal to my boys. It does seem a very odd pairing with LJ, on a Wednesday night, but we shall see.
The New Adventures of Old Christine moves to Wednesdays and is paired with Gary Unmarried starring Jay Mohr. I’m not what to think of Gary, but I thought the pilot was kind of so-so. Might be worth taking another gander. (Both of these debut Sept. 24)
Did you guys watch Dirty Sexy Money last year? I didn’t, but after watching some of the episodes from last season while I was out in LA, I may give this one another chance too. I’ll absolutely be watching Private Practice and one of my all-time favorite shows Pushing Daises. Those come back Oct. 1.
