I’m Home!

Standard

I made it. :-) Of course home feels surreal because I’ve been gone for a month. The dogs thought I’d gone the way of Rascal and they were way happy to see me. So were my kids, and I’m pretty sure the hubby was too. ;-) He was still painting my office today and sent Jeff to pick me up. LOL And he wonders why our kids procrastinate. But it’s done, every thing is creamy and fresh in there. I LOVE IT! The rest of the house is complete chaos with all my crap all over the place, but oh well.

Okay… cool stuff from the last few days. I was invited, only because I was working with Gena Showalter and Jill Monroe on a special project, to Nora Robert’s private cocktail party. I was kind of scared to go, but it ended up being a blast. I will tell you more about that special project in a few weeks when it’s revealed. ;-) Too much fun.

Another cool thing that happened was a breakfast on Saturday morning. An opportunity for something really amazing came out of that meal. I promise as soon as the ink is dry I will, once again, reveal all. :-) I don’t want to jinx anything.

I have to say it was an incredible week. A great city that I shared with my best friends. We had so much FUN! Every moment was filled and we just had a blast. I miss them already. (Even though I know I’ll see them Wednesday.)

We set some big goals for ourselves last night. Read: We’re all thinking BIG.

CONTEST! In honor of Charmed & Ready coming out in mass market on Tuesday (TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW! I MEANT IT. I NEED THAT WORD OF MOUTH!!!) I’m giving a way free, autographed books all month. All you have to do is post and your name goes in the hat. The more you post, the more chances you have.

  1. Welcome home! Your reports have been greatly enjoyed, but hearing you’re safely back on the home turf is yet more joyful. And the post-ink-drying announcements are eagerly anticipated.

Just as you settle in, I head out. Tomorrow morning at oh-dark-you-gotta-be-kidding, I head for WorldCon in Denver. Crossed fingers for traveling wheelies would be most appreciated.

And yet again I say “Welcome Home!”

  2. I Can’t Wait . . .

for Charmed and Ready to be out. I have already pre-ordered my copy. I loved Like a Charm. Charmed and Dangerous is already anxiously awaiting me on my TBR pile.

  3. Welcome Home!

I know what I am doing on lunch break tomorrow! :Does a little dance: I wonder if I can get away with not coming back to work after I buy it? Let’s see. Boss out, check.. Owner out, check… COO out, check… I might be able to get away with this. :)

  4. Welcome home :-) How exciting about the cocktail party! I would have been scared too ^_^ I’m super excited no matter what the new opportunity is for you (although I’m always crossing my fingers that we’ll be able to get a sequel for Like a Charm!!) and I can’t wait to hear it.

I’m off to see Mummy 3. Have an awesome night!
