An Affair

I’m having an affair. There. I said it, I can’t take it back. The world knows. I’m in love like I’ve never been before and I want to go to the mountain tops and sing. (Yes, I know a cliche when I see it.)

My new lover — A Kindle. GOD, I love the thing and we only met yesterday afternoon. I plan to spend many, many, many hours alone learning it’s little intricacies, but right away it’s the best thing evah for reading. You can make the point size larger. It holds over 200 books, so if you get bored, ping there ya go. And it’s just so darn easy on the eyes. I’m LOVIN it! Want to get me something for my birthday — I’m begging for Amazon gift certificates so I can buy books. :-)

Oh, and on that Birthday thing. (It’s June 20th). I know, this is beyond ignorant, but I’ve spent most of the last year not knowing how old I was. Seriously. The entire year I’ve been writing one thing, and it turns out I’m two years older than that. LOL. My husband told me on our anniversary. He’s romantic that way. He was asking if I wanted to do anything about my BIG b-day and I was like what’s so BIG about it? And he’s like, well you’re gonna be ? And I’m like, no I’m not. Are you daft in the head? Then he did the math, on a napkin at the steak house. Damn if he wasn’t right. I’m gonna be friggin’ old and it’s freakin’ me out. ;-)

See that’s what I love about my new Kindle. It doesn’t tell me how old I am. IN fact it doesn’t talk back at all. :-)

I’m off to interview Robert Picardo and then Mitch Rouse, and then to weigh in and then to station. What are you guys doing this weekend?

  1. We are never as old as we think we are

I plan on working really hard this weekend. I need the rest after 5 grand-children have invaded and gone.

Don’t feel so bad, Candy. I asked my hubby about the BIG PLANS that I was sure he was planning for, dare I say it, # 45… He chuckled heartily then reminded me that I was 45 LAST year and I was now closer to 50. Any wonder I love that man so much?
