LIKE A CHARM

Standard

It’s finally here! LIKE A CHARM debuts today and I’m so excited. That’s the spin-off from the Bronwyn books, and it’s different than what I’ve done before. Help me get the word out! Woot! And for those of you hanging on the blog… A special gift. If you send me your snail mail address to tvscoop@sbcglobal.net, I’ll send you an autographed bookplate. :-)

Oh, and don’t forget… If you’re in the Dallas Fort Worth area this weekend, Sat. Feb. 9, I’ll be signing LIKE A CHARM, at 2 p.m. at the North Richland Hills, Barnes & Noble. My friends Shannon Canard (DREAMS & DESIRES: A COLLECTION OF ROMANTIC TALES) and A. Lee Martinez (THE AUTOMATIC DETECTIVE) will also be signing with me. :-) Come party with us!

I’m in Walgreens? OMG. Do you know how cool that is? I’m in Walgreens. Woot! FOr those who don’t know… Being in those major retailers is huge. As far as I know this is the first time I’ve been there. I’m so excited. :-) -Candy

  1. Hi Candace

I had pre-order you book way back in November, it arrived late Wednesday. I glanced at it but between work and another book I was finishing (Persuasions by Jane Austen –I have this thing of readying English classics lately—well I recently celebrated the 12 anniversary of my 29th birthday—maybe that is why— I realized that I have read (not voluntarily) most of the classics created in the Spanish language but not in English). Anyway so I couldn’t start reading “Like a Charm”. So yesterday I took the book with me every where – every chance I got I read another chapter – even in the car (hate reading in the car) while my husband drove to our daughter school for some activity. I couldn’t put it down just like the Charmed series.

Anyway love the story of Kira – (I won’t put any spoilers –even though spoilers never bother me, they do other people). I found myself looking through the house to compare timelines with Charmed & Dangerous (finally found it this morning). I have several questions and there are a few things that I’m not sure if I’m remembering correctly or not so I’m going to re-read Charmed & Dangerous first to try to find my answers.

So my husband (who has read the Charmed series) tells me — him — “are you done with the book?” me — “Almost” — him — “Has she announced the next one?” – me — “no idea I haven’t checked yet” — Well I finished the book late last night and handed it to him…

Which you make it to a signing in the Seattle area some day.

    • Thank you for absolutely making my Friday!!! I so want to do another Charmed book, it’s up to my editor, and I guess how this one sells. :-) I have a million stories in my head. Oh, and maybe it will help to tell you that Like a Charm is a prequel to the other books. So it’s before everything happens with Bronwyn. :-) You can always email with questions to tvscoop@sbcglobal.net

I would love to come to Seattle some day. Maybe I’ll get asked to speak at a convention there or something. I have so many writer friends that live there, and I would love to see everyone.

And I’m all about the English classics right now too. I go back and forth all the time.

      Take Care
      Candy
