Hey Gang… It’s been a crazy week. I’ve been working hard on my edits for The Demon King and I. I just sent the book back to my editor, so hopefully it will be a go. :-) Nothing was too hard, just a little time consuming in making sure that the changes were made throughout the book. Big monkey off the back with that one. I really love that story and can’t wait for you to read it.

I can’t believe that Like A Charm is out Tuesday. Kind of freaking me out. Once again a book release has snuck up on me. I’ve been so busy with writing and editing, that I keep forgetting about promotion. So do me a favor and run out and buy a copy next week, and tell everyone you know. Also, if you email where you’ve seen the book, I’ll send bookmarks.

Let’s see, since we chatted last… We have a new puppy and have, after several name choices, decided to call him Gizmo because he looks like the little Gremlin from the movie. That came from my oldest son’s girlfriend and after a week of trying out different names, we all decided it fit. He also has this funny little growl. He’s a time-consuming little toot, but the whole family adores him. Even my husband, who isn’t fond of small dogs, is enamored with him.

My mom is still in the hospital. The day before she was to come home, she broke her knee. Argh. She’s been having a tough time with that. The good news is it’s small little fractures that seem to be healing quickly. I snuck Gizmo into the hospital and it made her Friday. :-) It’s amazing what a ball of fur can do for someone’s spirits. Our fence, the part that was damaged last time, blew down after we had 65 mile an hour winds the other day. Steve and Jeff are trying to put everything back together this weekend. Parker’s in Nebraska at a show choir competition. Haven’t heard from him, but hope all went well.

Oh, yesterday was fun. I did a fundraiser for a local library with authors Karen Kelly, Judy Christenberry and Karen Whiddon. We had so much fun, and what a great group of women. We also had a good turn out there at the Barnes & Noble. I love the title of Karen K’s new book “Cosmic Sex,” sort of says it all. And she has a really hunky guy on the cover. I had to buy Karen W and Judy’s books after hearing them talk about them and I can’t wait to read them.

Tell me what’s going on with you and tell me what you’re reading? I picked up Phillipa Gregory’s The Other Boleyn Girl, since I have to interview her about the film in a few weeks. Now that I’m free of edits I can have more time to read. :-)

    Hi Candy,

I attended the book signing and discussion on Saturday. It was really nice meeting you and the other authors. I’m particularly excited to learn of all the romance and writers clubs in the area. I hope to see you at one of them in the near future!
