A New Title

I can’t believe it’s been almost a week since I last wrote. I’ve been getting stuff ready for my editor. I told you guys about the Nov. 2009 release day, but they needed first 60 pages so they could get a feel for the book to come up with a cover and copy for it. I also sent her a bunch of words Shannon, Rosemary and I came up with for the title. We couldn’t think of any titles, but we had cool words.

Well, my editor, being the cool chick she is came up with a great title using the words I sent: The Demon King and I. How cool is that? I love it. She says all the books in the series will relate old movies or musicals. Totally fun!

We had the Buns and Roses Tea on Sunday. I was the MC and we just had a ton of fun. I’m not sure how much money we raised for literacy, but it was a lot. I have so much fun doing those things, and we had about 300 people there.

The day before was the first round of All-state choir competition for my son. He made first chair, which is beyond amazing. I’m so proud of him. It was an intense day, but I wouldn’t have missed it for anything.

So now it’s back to hard core revisions on The Demon King and I.

Oh, geez… I keep forgetting. I have a BIG booksigning on Saturday, 2-4 p.m., and I’ll be signing new books. The Dreams and Desires and the Stephanie Plum anthologies. Please come hang out. There will be more than 20 authors there. :-)
