Resting Laurels

Well, I was barely getting to rest those laurels for finishing my first draft when my editor sent me an e-mail. They need the first 100 pages or so, so that they can figure out a cover. They’ve put a Nov. 2008, date on the book, which in this business is really fast. Considering I haven’t even turned it in yet, it’s really fast. :-)

She also wants to know if I have other title suggestions. Since I’m totally sucky with titles I will be begging my friends to help. She also needed a new synopsis because she knows me, and she knows I didn’t stick to my original story. ;-) I was closer than I am most of the time, but there were some big changes.

Any hoo, My brain hurts bad. I’ve been without sugar for almost two weeks. Damn, that’s a lie. I ate four sugar cookies yesterday in a fit of emotional turmoil. That’s probably why my brain hurts. Bad sugar, bad.

I’m going to get my hair colored and rock star bangs tomorrow. I really need to find some pics. If you know of any really cute styles let me know.

Oh, if you want to meet a bunch of cool authors and have tea go to On Sunday I’m mc’ing the event, and we had so much fun last year. Plus, you can do all of your Christmas shopping and give everyone autographed books. There are some tickets left so don’t dally. (LOL. I’ve never used dally in my life. What a funny word.)

Okay, back to work for me. So tell me who sports your favorite hairstyle of the moment? I’m kind of liking Chuck’s sister on “CHUCK.” She has cool bangs.

  2. I’m really diggin Chuck. Could be the show of course, but I’m thinking that I’m just really diggin the nerd version of Zachary Levi.

As far as hairstyle… I still really dig Charlize Theron’s coif in Aeon Flux. Not that I could ever pull that off, but still. Also, color-wise Franke Potente’s locks in Run, Lola, Run. I could probably pull that one off in a slightly longer fashion. But you just gotta love that color.
