The Weekend

Standard

It’s been a crazy, busy week. I can’t seem to get done everything I need to. I seriously more hours in the day and bigger does of caffeine. :-)

I did find time, while waiting for kids, docs, etc., to read. I just finished Annette Blair’s “Kitchen Witch.” What a great book. I’ve also been listening to a Lee Child’s thriller.

I’m getting ready to head to L.A. on Monday and will be giving you all the news from out here. :-)

Tell me what you all are doing this weekend? What are you reading?

  1. I’ll probably be practicing how to walk again after getting my cast off. I still have to wear this funky brace, though, and it isn’t very comfortable.

And I’ve been rereading Elizabeth Peters’ Amelia Peabody series. I’m up to Deeds of the Disturber, but I may take a break from it because a book I had reserved at the library was finally turned in. Simple Genius by David Baldacci.

  2. I’ll be at the park, watching baseball.

I’m reading I Only Have Fangs For You by Kathy Love, her vamp stories are funny.I finished reading an ebook,Wonder Witch by Ashlyn Chase,a good book about the League of Amazing Writers(writers who are also super heroines),theres some good voyeurism in it too.

    Hugs, danette

  3. I too will be getting ready for RWA. We’ll miss you Candy! Are you going to be there Saturday night?

I’m reading this hot, steamy book called “Hands On”. Almost done, have more in the TRB pile and hope to add more next week!

  4. Have fun in LA! Just relaxing this weekend. Went to the boardwalk down in Seaside, NJ last night and probably just going to go to the movies or something tonight. Nothing big.

And I’ve totally fallen in love with Meg Cabot. I just finished reading “Size 12 Is Not Fat” and am almost done with “Size 14 Is Not Fat Either”.

  5. I Am So Stocked to See Your an LJ’er

Ok, I don’t know you but I just finished Charmed and Deadly and totally loved it. I have been reading your books from the onset but had no idea you were an LJ’er. Any way, I wanted to pop by and tell you how much I love your books even if I don’t like Sam… I know he is who we are suppose to be rooting for but he kind of creeps me out. What I am starting now is a book called Karma Girl. Which you seemed to like, I am waiting for the Next DH novel and of course Harry Potter but I also read a really good straight up suspense with no super naturals at all but it was by Harlen Corbin whom I love.

Anyway, I am off to do some picking (that is looking for good stuff in garage sales that the dealers haven’t seen yet but, I spect you knew that)

Looking forward to your next book

I’m so glad you found me, and I’m glad you enjoy the books. I loved Karma Girl. I actually gave that one a quote. :-) I’m all about the super heroes. And I can’t wait for Deathly Hallows. I’m still out in L.A. but I’m thinking about getting it from the audio books so I don’t have to lug it around. :-)

I am awaiting your next book, you are more fun then the Author and his crew from Angela Knight, much less sexual thean Hammond or knigh but but your writing is well researched and true to story lines. I am in awy you are an LJ’er, I have been one forever. I guess I will start pumping your books I get over 2000 hits a day.

I am so sorry to have missed you in Sactown. Next time I will have a heads up :)

  6. I read The Kitchen Witch a few weeks ago right after I read My Favorite Witch and The Scot, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Then I found Charmed & Dangerous and Charmed & Ready which I just finished while camping.
My hubby wanted to read them too. He found your reference to LJ in Charmed and Ready. Really enjoy both of your books, couldn’t put them down.
Well back to the Dresden book series (I’m on Book #2) (waiting for HP 7 – Deathly Hallows) + technical stuff that I dread to read.

    Have fun in Hollywood :)

    • I love all of Annette’s books. She blogs with me on the witchychicks on blogger. You should come by for a visit. And I’m a huge Dresden files fans. We need to start a letter writing campaign so that they bring the series back. :-)
