And so…

Did you have a good weekend? Mine was busy, and yet I still found plenty of time to rest. My youngest did really well at his UIL choir competition. His quartet, and his solo, both received 1s, which is the best. :-) He was going thru some tough personal stuff so I was really proud of him.

I finished Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. What a great book. I can’t wait to read the next one. I went to my friend Alex’s (A.Lee Martinez) booksigning for A Nameless Witch. I can’t wait to read that one too. His books just make me laugh. I took off work for two whole days, which is unheard of for me, but I needed it.

I can’t believe that CHARMED & DEADLY comes out a week from tomorrow. I wanted to share my new cover for the Charmed & Dangerous mass market, it’s very different, but I couldn’t get it to upload. I’m hopeless with live journal. I think maybe the file was too large, but I don’t have any way of resizing it. Where are my children when I need them?

If I can figure out how to load it on maybe you can check it out there.

I’ve had a few life knocks the last few days and I’ve decided I’m not going to let them get me down. I am positive. I am smart, funny, beautiful and I can do anything. (Except load pics) That’s my new mantra. What’s yours?

You know we could always put the photo on your website…..
    Maybe a coming soon….

PS. Or send the cover to me and I’ll resize it…

  2. Congrats to your youngest on his success at Solo & Ensemble. Those trips to Austin were the most fun for me when I was in choir in high school. For some reason Birdville doesn’t participate. They conduct an ‘in district’ solo contest – not even equivalent. I hear that may change soon though.

I like your mantra – I may steal it! However, the current mantra should no longer be my mantra. My own life trials and tribulations have kept me from what I need to be doing = writing! So, the current one is – I must finish the WIP, I must finish the WIP (repeat).

    Have a great week!

  3. My mantra: I am not responsible for anyone’s happiness except my own.

that means I will not make myself ill with worry about decisions that friend or family make. If solicited, I can give advice and support, but their decisions are their own.
