Whoo Hoo!

I can finally breathe. My editor “really liked” Like A Charm. She also said Kira was a delight. No edits, it’s going straight to copyedits. Whew! I can’t tell you how grateful I am right now. It was something a little different than I’d done before and I really didn’t know how it would go.

I’m going to see my tax consultant in the morning, and I have a feeling the good news will have worn off by then. ;-) That’s never a fun visit for me. Well, that’s not true. I love the woman who has been doing my taxes for the last 10 years or so, but I never like the news she gives me.

Have any of you ever bought anything fun with a tax refund check? I always have to pay gobs of money, so I’m just curious…

  1. Wrong Icon the first time…

    Congrats!!!

As to fun things with tax refund money. Usually I get like $1 back – and that buys me a treat off the dollar menu, but this year I got more back and I spent it on my secret addiction. Nail Polish!

    Can’t wait for Kira’s book. :)

  2. Last year Stephen and I thought we would buy new applicances. The marriage penalty had changed enough the 5K payment we anticipated turned into a refund, helped by a big loss in the stockmarket the end of Dec. Still looking at the appliances, though. Goal is to come out pretty even state and federal, so we owe/receive little when we settle up each year.
