Some people are mean

Standard

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I’ve just finished my copy edits so I felt like celebrating!

But then I looked the Amazon reviews for Charmed & Deadly and now I feel like crying. Someone posted a mean review, and not only is it mean but she/he gives away several plot points as well as the end of the book. I clicked on report this, but I don’t know if it will do any good. I get that not everyone likes my books, but you don’t have to give away the entire thing. Geez.

Besides copyedits, I edited some stories. Made some pumpkin and apple pies with the kids and now I’m trying to figure out what I want to do tonight. I have several movies to catch up and a couple more came in today. I may kick the kids off the couch and be a potato. Oh, I’m also cooking my first ever brisket. Keep your fingers crossed. ;-)

Eat a lot tomorrow!!!

  1. Happy Thanksgiving!

    Hey Candy,

    Don’t let that one horrible person get you down. I think people who do awful things like that are really very jealous and mean-spirited. You’ve written wonderful books that people love! Don’t let that one person ruin your good feelings. You’re an inspiration to the rest of us.
    Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. without a spoiler warning? Internet inept I say. BOOOOOOOOO.

    OK, back to prepping. I figured out I was going to run too late if I kept baking today, so that will resume tonight or tomorrow. Wish me luck! Happy Thanksgiving! Peace and tranquility!

    Don’t sweat it, sweetie! Your work is FABULOUS, and so are you. Some people never grow beyond the “Mean Girl” stage, more’s the pity. I seem to garner all fives or ones. Sigh. I wish I could strike a nerve {in a good way!} with every single reader, but it’s an impossible dream. The best I can hope for is to grow as an author with each book, and to stay true to the vision.

    Love to you,

    Mad {madly!}
