Are you watching?

Did you see Heroes last night? Fantastic. I told you. And I was so happy to see the second episode of Studio 60 held up. Talk about amazing writing. That Aaron Sorkin has it going on. In fact, for dialog, I’m going to suggest all writers watch his shows whether it’s The West Wing, Sports Night or this one. I was just blown away last night. Can you tell? If you missed Studio 60, they are showing the episode on nbc.com. Oh, and look for Sorkin when they are in the writers’ room. What a hoot.

I also want to suggest something to anyone who may be in a funk or be angry with someone, and they can’t seem to find the words to express how they feel. Write a letter. Put everything you are feeling in that letter. Then don’t send it. Just keep it for at least a few days. There’s something about committing thoughts to paper that seems to ease the burden. I know better. I know when I’m really angry, or someone disapoints me, if I write a letter it makes me feel better. I just wish I hadn’t waited so long this time. I’m all about the therapy today. (Smiles)
I’m still dealing with the crud, but thanks to the blessing of Mucinex, I’m feeling a bit better tonight. I hope all is well in your world. -C

  1. Heroes

I did see heroes. And I can’t wait until next week to see what happens next. They have a great line up of actors too. It’s about time the networks get on the scifi band wagon. Love the japanese guy. I am a Super Hero.

  2. I love love LOVED Heroes! I haven’t seen the second episode of Studio 60 yet, but I recorded it. I really enjoyed the first episode, though. And, yeah, Sorkin does amazing dialogue.

  3. I big puffy heart mucinex myself. I did not realize Sorkin did Sports Night. That was one of my favorite shows. As you said, the dialog was great. rest, rest, tea, fluids, hot showers, all that good stuff.

  4. Wow, Candy, I hope you feel better soon.

I understand about the writing it all out. Sometimes I feel I can get it out of my head that way. At least a little.
