Yesterday I spent three hours signing books for the ESA ladies. In July when I went to speak to them at their convention in Palm Desert, they all ordered books. The shipment finally came in and I had to autograph and personalize 150 of them. A very good problem to have, I must say.
It’s been a day of weirdness. One of our computers broke (My older son calls it the blue screen of death. It doesn’t sound good.), and I received some bad news about work thing.
In the grand scheme of things, remembering what happened five years ago, my problems are miniscule. This day of rememberance does help keep things in perspective. Though, I can seldom get through it without tears.
On the upside, I’ve thrown myself into my work. I wrote three columns, edited a story, proofed another, answered interview questions for a feature someone is doing on me, and finished revising my anthology.
We received some more good reviews for Charmed & Ready. :-) I’ll post those later. I’m off to fix my ‘special’ hamburgers and to watch the season opener of “Desperate Housewives.” Maybe, I’m anxious to get to my YA, so I may do both.
Hope you all are doing well. Oh, and if you have friends in Amarillo, please tell them I’ll be there this weekend. Britta and I are teaching a class on Saturday for the PPW (I have no idea what that stands for, but they are really nice people), a book signing from 3:30-5 at the Barnes & Noble. That’s all on Saturday. Then on Sunday we’ll do a talk at the Amarillo Public Library and then fly home. :-)
