You know how Bronwyn is always blowing up annoying men in her books! Well… She’s obviously been shopping with my husband. We were on the hunt for a suit today for him to wear to the RITA’s later this month. It was his decision to come out to Atlanta. I didn’t ask. He’s not really comfortable in suits, but wants to make the big sacrifice for me. Sweet. At least I thought so. We made it to a shop with very nice mens clothing. The guy there picks out one suit, and says take a look at this. And that’s it. My husband won’t try anything else or go to another store. He tried it on, it fits. That’s that. Insane. What if he looked better in another color, or perhaps found one that fit better? He wouldn’t listen. He asked me to pick out a shirt and tie, bought it all and we left. Well, there was a bit of back and forth at the store. All said thru gritted teeth in low tones. I know men hate shopping, but if you are going to spend so much money on one thing, don’t you want to make sure it’s the absolute best one? Couldn’t we have at least checked one other store? Argh! Men!

On a much happier note, I read Patricia Bigg’s “Moon Called.” Amazing book and you should most definitely check it out. Mercy, the heroine, is a mechanic who has a bit of a mystery to solve involving werewolves, vampires and other creatures. Loved it!

  1. “Moon Called” is on my TBR stack. I’m so behind. *sigh*

And re: the shirt. He could have just worn his fish shirt. Alternatively, you could have one of our 20 something button-downs. ;-) [I don’t go shopping with Tim precisely because of the difference in male/female shopping philosophy.]

  2. Oh, I have this book and haven’t read it yet. It’s on my paranormal side of the closet, opposite contemps and historicals. I’ve decided to go back and forth. Once I finish Rachel Caine’s Windfall, I’ll read a contemp. Got any suggestions?
