Happy Birthday

It’s my birthday and it’s been a terrific day! My husband surprised me with cards and a gift this morning. Then my girlfriends came over and we had a day of shopping and lunch. It was a blast. I’m sporting some sassy new Juicy Couture flip flops and some great new makeup. Shannon made me the most delicious chocolate cake I’ve ever had. I am not kidding. Moist and good. And she brought tons of stuff to make Mimosas. Britta let us hang out at her house this afternoon and we had such a great visit talking about books. (She’s also responsible for my cool new flip flops) One of Rosemary’s gifts has totally inspired me to clean my office (not tonight but very soon.) It’s one of those Zen Gardens. Something I’ve always wanted but would have never bought myself. Shannon and Rosemary also brought me a TON of books I’ve been wanting to read.

The kids are away, my husband’s gone to work. And I’m all alone. I LOVE IT. I never get to be by myself. I was going to watch the new Stephen King mini series but I may just watch the pilots ABC sent. Oh, Rosemary watched Eureka with me a while ago, and it’s pretty cute.

Okay. I’m off to celebrate my nice quiet birthday evening doing whatever the heck I want!!!!
