Shirley McClaine. I had never had the chance to meet her in person until a week ago. She was in town promoting “In Her Shoes,” and stopped by the Mansion to do a little press. I was instantly greeted by her lovely dog, Terry the terrier. A very happy pooch with a great attitude. We settled in for a round table, (except the five of us were on couches and chairs, and the table was a coffee table) with Shirley looking glam and speaking her mind. She can be a bit intimidating, but she’s kind. She gives thoughtful answers and she’s really cool. After a trip to NY she was headed to her home in Santa Fe for a little rest. I liked her. She’s a tough cookie, but I like that about her.
